Nurses who specialize in pressure ulcers perform wound care on a daily basis or per physician orders. Additionally, a physician who specializes in wound care makes rounds on a weekly basis. Consultant physicians are able to perform bedside debridements as medically necessary. Our professional staff also fortifies the healing process by providing a wound vac for individuals with advanced needs.
A full range of rehabilitation services are provided. They include – Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Respiratory Therapies. Our facility works closely with the therapy group to ensure restoration of physical functioning so that any individual is able to return home upon successful completion of their therapeutic stay at Haven Manor. After the completion of rehabilitation goals, Haven Manor also offers Restorative Nursing Care in which the nurses and CNAs continue therapeutic exercises ordered by licensed professionals.
IV Therapy
The word intravenous simply means “within a vein” but is most commonly referred to as IV Therapy. The intravenous route is also the fastest way to deliver fluids and medication throughout the body. Our nurses are trained in initiating and maintaining IVs for pain management, hydration and nutrition. If the need arises, our professional nursing staff can also administer antibiotic therapy per physician order.
